My name is Lauren Chin and I am looking to bring 10 years of illustration professionalism in a new collaboration. I am organized, dedicated, and results oriented. I pride myself on delivering projects on time and on budget. I am looking to further my professional career and contribute to all types of projects that allow me to bring my education, considerable experience, and creativity to bring your ideas to life. I would welcome collaborating with you on your ideas and projects.

I am based out of San Jose, CA and enjoy working with a variety of different characters whether it be animating or illustrating. I have abilities to bring characters to life with movement and expression and have a passion for 2D animation.

I completed the award-winning Animation & Illustration BFA program at San Jose State University in 2010 which required intensive study of color theory, design, perspective, and conventional and digital painting as well as 3-D animation, physics of motion, modeling, storyboarding, character design, and visual development.

Family comes first for me and my love for drawing started with my mom drawing Sesame Street characters for me as a child. I loved watching her and she eventually taught me to create art for myself!

My influences growing up included watching cartoons and reading comics such as Calvin and Hobbes and Garfield. My love for drawing started from my mom and has now grown into my full career passion. I now produce all sorts of illustrations ranging from cartoon characters to anime, to which I’ve developed a strong skill for. My mastery has been in my ability to match specific art styles for commissions.
